WordDaub Privacy Policy

This policy explains how WordDaub ("the app"), an Android word puzzle game made by Glimzie ("we", "us"), handles information. Contact: support@glimzie.com.

Summary

• No account or login. We do not ask for your name, email address or birthdate in the app.
• Your game progress is stored on your device.
• The app shows ads and uses Google services to measure app performance and fix crashes. These services collect some device information, as described below.
• Where required, we ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time.

Information stored on your device

Your game progress, settings, stars and hints are saved on your device. We do not run our own server and do not receive this data. If Android backup is enabled on your device, Android may back up app data to your Google account under Google's own terms, which can help restore progress on a new device. Uninstalling the app deletes the data stored on your device.

Advertising

WordDaub is free and supported by ads, including level-completion ads and optional rewarded ads that give a hint. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may work with other ad networks (currently Unity Ads) to fill ad requests.

To show and measure ads, these companies may collect information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Depending on your location and choices, ads may be personalized based on this information, or non-personalized or limited.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your Android device settings.

Consent and your privacy choices

In regions where consent is required (such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), and where applicable US state privacy laws apply, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform to ask for or respect your choices before personalized ads are shown. If you do not consent, you may still see non-personalized or limited ads. You can review or change your choices at any time from the privacy options in the app's menu.

Analytics, crash reports and remote settings

We use Google Firebase services:

• Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played, such as levels completed, hints used and ad events, so we can improve it. This uses app instance identifiers and device information.
• Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports, which include device and app state at the time of a crash.
• Firebase Remote Config to adjust game settings, such as hint prices and ad spacing, without an app update.

Who the app is for

WordDaub is intended for teenagers aged 13 and older and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will help remove it.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information for money. Information is shared only with the service providers described above (Google and the ad networks working with AdMob) to show ads, measure performance and keep the app working. Under some US state laws, sharing data for personalized advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing"; you can opt out through the privacy options in the app or your device's ad settings.

Retention

Data on your device stays until you uninstall the app or clear its data. Data collected by Google and the ad networks is kept according to their own policies and settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we do not run our own server or hold an account for you, most data related to the app is held by the service providers above. Security

We use reputable service providers and limit the data the app uses. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version will always be on this page with its effective date.
